AirTag is the simplest way to stop losing things. Attach one to your keys, slip it into a backpack, or leave it in the car, then open the Find My app on your iPhone to see where it is on a map. Tap Play Sound and the built-in speaker — 50 percent louder on this generation — chirps until you find it, audible from up to twice as far away as before.
When you are close, Precision Finding takes over. Apple's second-generation Ultra Wideband chip gives you an on-screen arrow and a distance readout that walks you the last few metres, with up to 1.5x the range of the previous model. If something is genuinely gone, put the AirTag into Lost Mode and you are notified the moment it is detected by the Find My network — hundreds of millions of Apple devices worldwide, all relaying location anonymously and end-to-end encrypted, so nobody, not even Apple, can see where your AirTag has been.
At 31.9 mm across and 11.8 g it is small enough to forget about and tough enough not to worry about: IP67 rated against dust and water. The CR2032 battery lasts over a year and you replace it yourself in seconds. There is no charging, no subscription and no power adapter — which makes it one of the few smart-home products that works identically here and in the US, with nothing to adapt. Requires an iPhone on iOS 26.0 or later.
