The Active 2 is Amazfit's answer to what a genuinely well-made smartwatch costs, and the answer sits comfortably inside the entry tier. The case is 44 mm stainless steel — not painted aluminium or plastic — and this Premium configuration puts sapphire crystal over the 1.32-inch AMOLED. That display runs 466 x 466 pixels at 353 PPI and peaks at 2,000 nits, a figure that matters a great deal under equatorial sun where cheaper panels wash out completely. Underneath is a properly specified sports watch. The GNSS receiver covers five satellite constellations with a circularly-polarised antenna for better lock in built-up areas, and runs 21 hours continuously with GPS active. There are more than 160 workout modes including automatic rep counting for strength training and an official HYROX race mode. The BioTracker 6.0 sensor stack adds a barometric altimeter, temperature sensor, gyroscope and ambient light sensor to the usual heart-rate and blood-oxygen optics — which is what lets it produce meaningful elevation, readiness and recovery data rather than just step counts. Everyday battery life is around 10 days, stretching to 19 in power-saver mode, from a 270 mAh cell that refills in roughly two hours. The whole thing is 5 ATM water resistant and weighs under 32 grams before the strap, so it stays on overnight for sleep tracking. The Premium package includes both a leather strap and a silicone strap — a dress option and a gym option in one box.
