The Ring Stick Up Cam Battery — now sold by Ring under the name Outdoor Cam — is the most flexible camera in the Ring range because it does not commit you to one spot. It sits freestanding on a shelf or counter, or mounts on a wall or eave with the supplied bracket, and the head angles to whatever you need to watch. It runs on a quick-release battery pack, so there is no wiring: when the battery runs low you pop it out, charge it indoors and slot it back, and the camera keeps its position and settings. You get 1080p HD live view, colour night vision rather than plain infrared, two-way talk with noise cancellation and motion zones you draw yourself so you are not alerted every time a car passes on the street. An optional Ring Solar Panel (sold separately) can keep it topped up permanently.
