The eufy Indoor Cam E30 covers a whole room from a single spot. The motorised head sweeps a full 360 degrees, and 4K resolution across a 125-degree field means you can actually recognise a face rather than guess at a silhouette. Quick Focus Tap lets you touch anywhere in the panoramic view and have the camera swing straight to it.
On-device AI handles the watching for you. It distinguishes humans from pets, listens for audio events and for a baby crying, and once it has locked onto a subject it tracks them as they move through the room. When the light goes, the built-in spotlight switches the camera into full-colour night vision out to about 5 metres, while infrared reaches roughly 10 metres in the dark. Two-way audio lets you speak into the room.
Recording is where the E30 earns its keep: 24/7 continuous plus event-based capture, written to a local microSD card that you own, with no monthly fee and no cloud subscription required — which matters a great deal when the alternative is a dollar-denominated subscription and an internet connection that may not be up when you need it. Privacy mode physically turns the lens away when you are home.
