Blink publishes an explicit region-locking policy: "Blink devices are designed to be operated only in certain countries" and "the cameras and Blink systems are region locked, meaning North American cameras are meant to work with a North American Sync Module and will not function with Blink products sold in another region." The markets Blink lists as supported are North America, the EU and UK, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand — no African country appears on that list. This kit is a matched North American set, so the five cameras and the Sync Module work with each other, but we cannot promise the Blink app will let you register an account from Ghana. Each Blink Outdoor 4 camera is completely wire-free, running on two AA lithium batteries that Blink rates at up to two years of normal use, and each is IP65 weather resistant for the rainy season. Video is 1080p with a 143° view and infrared night vision, and there is two-way audio through the app. The fourth-generation motion detection filters out the usual false triggers, and clips can be stored locally on a USB drive plugged into the Sync Module rather than in the cloud, so a subscription is optional rather than compulsory. This is the cheapest way in the catalogue to get five points of coverage at once.
